Abstract

This research uses research and development (Research and Development) with research procedures using Borg & Gall model with steps: information gathering, planning, product development, initial product diorama, expert phase I validation test, revision I, stage II validation, revision II , limited trials and diorama products. the population of this study was all class B students. data collection techniques used descriptive statistics, one t-test, hypothesis testing and qualitative descriptive. The research shows that the theme-based diorama media is suitable for use with a percentage rating of the 96% media component feasibility component. From the results of the hypothesis it can be proved by the pree test and post test values which showed the mean results after treatment were greater than before the treatment with the mean of 12.5000 and the standard deviation .97183 while the results after treatment were 797 with a significance of 0.03. the conclusion of this study is that the theme-based diorama media is effectively used to improve the smooth motor skills of early childhood.
