Peran Baitul Maal Wattamwil (BMT) dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Pelaku Usaha Mikro

Abstract

This thesis discusses the role of Baitul Maal Wattamwil (BMT) in improving the welfare of micro business actors. One of the roles of Baitul Maal Wattamwil (BMT) is to help lower middle class communities to provide funding based on the sharia system by providing business capital assistance. By providing capital assistance to small and middle class communities, BMT Al-Islam is able to alleviate poverty and empower the community's economy so that they experience prosperity. This research aims: 1) To describe the role of Baitul Mal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Al-Islam in improving the welfare of micro business actors in Panumbangan Market; 2) To analyze the factors that are obstacles to Baitul Mal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Al-Islam in improving the welfare of micro business actors in Panumbangan Market; 3) To find out the relationship between Baitul Mal Wat Tamwil (BMT) and micro business actors at Panumbangan Market. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, with primary data sources (research informants) and secondary data sources (literature, for example books, journals, theses which can provide related information). Data collection in this research was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were the BMT treasurer, BMT managers and micro business actors (customers). The steps used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation and then drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that BMT Al-Islam contributes well to the achievement of Islamic socio-economics, because it can empower customers and the community by improving the welfare of life and improving the economic level of customers by providing profit-sharing financing for business capital. However, there are still various obstacles and problems that must be fixed. The obstacle that comes from customers is the uncertainty of the amount of income obtained causing delays in making loan deposits. While the obstacle that comes from BMT is the limited source of funds owned so that it is unable to meet customer requests in large amounts. The existence of BMT Al-Islam plays a good and maximum role because there is a good relationship between the BMT and the community, especially customer members. By building good relationships, the community, especially micro-entrepreneurs, will be able to improve their welfare and ultimately BMT can achieve its goals.
