Marriage is an inner and outer bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife with the aim of forming a happy and eternal family (household) based on the Almighty Godhead. To fulfill the natural needs of humans by achieving a marriage, the Marriage Law has determined the basic and conditions that must be fulfilled in marriage. One of them is in Article 7 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage which states: "Marriage is only permitted if the man has reached the age of 19 (nineteen) years and the woman has reached the age of 16 (sixteen) years. This research to explains What are the factors behind the occurrence of underage marriages in the Tasikmalaya City Religious Court? (2) What is the impact of underage marriage on families in Tasikmalaya City? (3) What efforts can the Tasikmalaya City Religious Court make to reduce and prevent underage marriages. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach where data is obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were 4 people consisting of 1 Religious Court Judge, 1 Religious Court Registrar, 1 minor marriage performer, and 1 other person is the parent of the underage marriage actor. The results of this research show that: (1) The factors behind underage marriage at the Tasikmalaya City Religious Court are the change in the minimum age limit for marriage in Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage to Law Number 16 of 2019, generational factors young people who no longer heed the customs of being a Muslim, the factor of the lack of societal filters, the factor of the ease of porn sites, the factor of the many soap operas depicting families, and the factor of dropping out of school. (2) The impact of underage marriage on families in Tasikmalaya City, namely biological impacts, psychological impacts, social impacts and health impact. From these impacts it can be understood that underage marriage has an adverse impact on those who have entered into it, therefore marriage must be prepared well. and a strong mentality to form a happy and eternal family based on the integrity of the Almighty. (3) Efforts that can be made by the Tasikmalaya City Religious Court to reduce and prevent underage marriages are efforts to provide advice to related parties, judge considerations in determining marriage dispensations, and joint outreach with the Office of Religious Affairs.
